Nuno Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Teixeira in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bordeiro's goalkeeper Adolfo Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10thth minute of the game Fábio Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Tavaredes's Nuno Pires was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diamantino Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Nuno Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Teixeira in the 21st minute of play. Diamantino Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Diamantino Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Jorge Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tavaredes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Bordeiro the free kick. 36 minutes into the game, one of SC Tavaredes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nuno Pires went to the wrong direction when Inácio Lima was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 43rd minute, Diamantino Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SC Bordeiro booed when SC Tavaredes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alexandre Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Teixeira made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Alexandre Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Freitas, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 60th minute Gonçalo Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Jesus came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Tavaredes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Jesus couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Jesus in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Delgado got free with Adolfo Azevedo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Gonçalo Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Tavaredes's Nuno Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Teixeira in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Almeida in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Almeida's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Joaquim Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
