Carlos Pacheco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Mota showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. If Rui Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Vaz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Moura during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Manuel Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Arcos FC's zone, Pedro Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Vaz came out of the goal and Pedro Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomás Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arcos FC's protests and gave Tomás Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. 48 minutes in the game, Ricardo Mota fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Carlos Pacheco having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Manuel Moura was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 91 played minutes SC Baroso got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Moura. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
