Abel Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, Valada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Brás to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manuel Brás came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Valada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Brás couldn't finish the play. Abel Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Borba having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filipe Correia made a kick off. After 73 played minutes Dume FC got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Castro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Pereira in the 75th minute of play forced Dume FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Pereira in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Filipe Correia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amílcar Morais. Filipe Correia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 86th minute, Pedro Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Valada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dume FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Pereira in the 97th minute of play forced Dume FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Dume FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Bernardo Setúbal hit a great ball. Valada were awarded a corner in the 101th minute after Dume FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eusébio Lima took the corner. The corner led Valada's Eusébio Lima to fire away a dangerous shot which Alexandre Borba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Dume FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dume FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
