If Joaquim Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute Mário Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Branco in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Retaxo FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lourenço Reis hit a great ball. Cláudio Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Branco in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Tramaga getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Adolfo Setúbal hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Miguel Gaspar lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Eduardo Rocha. When Cristiano Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Retaxo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Vaz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Retaxo FC booed when SC Tramaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eduardo Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Retaxo FC's Lourenço Reis got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Pinheiro during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amadeu Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Vaz was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Retaxo FC defense, Cláudio Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Rocha. The Retaxo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Rocha should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute, Joaquim Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Cláudio Dantas made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Retaxo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Machado to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, SC Tramaga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Branco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mário Faria scored 3-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eduardo Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Gaspar went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Retaxo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Tramaga.
