In the 34th minute, Eduardo Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Miguel Matos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. A collision led to SC Codixeira getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Miguel Matos hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cerdal's Mário Mota got a free kick in the 41st minute. Cerdal's Alexandre Setúbal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Cerdal from getting a goal against them. Vicente Mendes in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandre Setúbal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vicente Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eduardo Jesus took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Leite. André Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 62 minutes into the game, Cerdal's Eduardo Jesus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eduardo Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, SC Codixeira's Vicente Mendes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Setúbal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Mendes in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Setúbal saved Cerdal from getting behind. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerdal's goalkeeper Alexandre Setúbal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jacinto Aleixo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Leite having to make a save. Eduardo Jesus struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. André Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerdal.
