Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristiano Aguiar started the match with the kick off. Alexandre Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Aguiar in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of SC Sorval booed when Pouzos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Viriato Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cristiano Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Sorval's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Matias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Daniel Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio Matias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Viriato Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alexandre Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to SC Sorval getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jorge Vieira hit a great ball. SC Sorval's Alexandre Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Aguiar in the 23rd minute of play. If Daniel Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Matias made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Daniel Simões sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Matias having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Mariano Pedroso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pouzos and the SC Sorval players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mariano Pedroso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Lúcio Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Simões in the 36th minute of the match. Daniel Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Pouzos's Joaquim Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquim Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. When Viriato Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pouzos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Aguiar couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Mariano Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee gave SC Sorval a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafael Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pouzos's Lúcio Matias. 2-0. Joaquim Correia scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. António Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Lúcio Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Daniel Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Sorval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Viriato Aguiar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Pouzos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. António Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. After 100 minutes SC Sorval's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amílcar Fontes who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Amílcar Fontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexandre Lopes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pouzos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
