In the 6th minute Filipe Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, SC Velas's Jacinto Lisboa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Amaro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Velas reached it. Jacinto Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ricardo Mota made a huge save. In the 16th minute Filipe Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Velas's Ricardo Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Pereira in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Nuno Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gabriel Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Salema's Filipe Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Salema's Jacinto Pires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Gaspar to make the kick off. Filipe Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Mota having to interfere. In the 58th minute Jacinto Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salema's Jacinto Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Velas's Nuno Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Filipe Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salema's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Pires in the 70th minute of play. António Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Amaro having to interfere. Filipe Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ricardo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Velas's Jorge Antunes got a free kick in the 85th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
