Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Afonso Melo kicked off to start the match. Afonso Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Vaz having to interfere. Eusébio Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Miranda in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Cristiano Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Descoberto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Descoberto defense, Armindo Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusébio Guarda. The SC Descoberto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusébio Guarda should have stopped the shot. Afonso Melo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Vaz having to make a save. If Cristiano Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Vaz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Afonso Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cristiano Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joaquim Pires fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ceiroco's protests and gave Joaquim Pires a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of SC Ceiroco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Descoberto:s goal. Cristóvão Jesus placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Faria was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, SC Ceiroco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Torres to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Descoberto's zone, Gaspar Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Guarda came out of the goal and Gaspar Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eusébio Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Freitas's late challenge caught a SC Ceiroco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Armindo Miranda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eusébio Guarda was a little too slow when Gaspar Faria got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 2-2. After 74 minutes of play SC Descoberto's Jorge Freitas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC Ceiroco booed when SC Descoberto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gaspar Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ceiroco's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Guarda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 92 minutes, Cristiano Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Descoberto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, SC Descoberto's Eusébio Guarda got control of the ball when Armindo Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Ceiroco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Descoberto.
