In the 6th minute, Hélder Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Guarda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Almofala FC's Lúcio Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Almofala FC's Lúcio Silva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 22 minutes, Lourenço Setúbal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zonho and the Almofala FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zonho's Lourenço Setúbal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Zonho getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lourenço Setúbal hit a great ball. Amadeu Santarém hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Oliveira got free with Cristiano Vieira in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lourenço Setúbal hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Zonho's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Silva came free, but Cristiano Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Faro's late challenge caught a Almofala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Faro helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Borges struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jacinto Guarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zonho. Gaspar Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Guarda having to interfere. Cristiano Anjos lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zonho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Cristiano Vieira, was totally fooled by Almofala FC's Cristiano Paiva, who 49 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Torres made a kick off. If Pedro Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Oliveira in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Lúcio Silva notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zonho's Cristiano Vieira. Cristiano Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Mariano Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cristiano Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Almofala FC's Lúcio Silva in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zonho's goalie prevented a goal. Cristiano Jesus's late challenge caught a Zonho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Almofala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Almofala FC's Jacinto Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Maia in the 84th minute of play. Hélder Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Almofala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Almofala FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
