The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Franzina FC! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Rego. Óscar Alves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Esteves. 1-1. Pedro Mota hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A collision led to Franzina FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gustavo Moutinho hit a great ball. If Cristiano Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Rego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Luís Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Pacheco in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Manuel Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rego fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rego's goalkeeper André Pinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Pinho made a kick off. Hugo Paredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Rego's André Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Amorim in the 55th minute of play. Manuel Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gustavo Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Franzina FC's Gustavo Esteves got control of the ball when Cristiano Pacheco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
