In the 3rd match minute, Ourozinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Santos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Delfim Coelho. Bruno Faro's late challenge caught a Martianes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Martianes FC booed when Ourozinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cunha in the 28th minute of play forced Martianes FC's goalkeeper Luís Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, José Sousa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Martianes FC's Luís Dantas. Luís Dantas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Ourozinho's goalkeeper Ricardo Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Guarda. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Gil Anjos took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ricardo Santos to make any attempt to save it. Luís Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Gil Anjos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ricardo Santos, passed just outside the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Anjos to strike the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Jorge Veiga from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Luís Dantas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 79 minutes, Domingos Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Martianes FC and the Ourozinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Cunha was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 84 minutes into the game, José Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Luís Dantas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 played minutes Ourozinho got a freekick which was hit by Artur Miranda. After 91 played minutes, Martianes FC's Delfim Coelho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Martianes FC reached it. Gil Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ourozinho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
