The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Fogueteiro FC's André Pedroso got a free kick in the 4th minute. A collision led to Fogueteiro FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Mariano Lima hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Ourozinho got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Veiga. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Sousa in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Silva saved Fogueteiro FC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Fogueteiro FC's Eusébio Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd minute José Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Eusébio Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ricardo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Santos having to interfere. If Daniel Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Cardoso made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Eusébio Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alexandre Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Sousa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Fogueteiro FC's Eusébio Faria in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alexandre Silva came out of the goal and Daniel Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fogueteiro FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Cardoso in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Fogueteiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cunha came free, but Alexandre Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ourozinho getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Artur Miranda hit a great ball.
