Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Xavier Nogueira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in SC Samel's zone, Albertino Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Tavares came out of the goal and Albertino Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavier Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Tavares having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Albertino Coimbra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Tavares was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Cabecinho FC's Luís Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cabecinho FC from getting a goal against them. After 16 minutes, Jaime Lisboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Samel and the Cabecinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jaime Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Albertino Coimbra notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Samel's Júlio Tavares. Júlio Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 26 played minutes Cabecinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Leão. SC Samel's Manuel Correia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cabecinho FC. In the 29th minute Xavier Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cabecinho FC's Gaspar Branco got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Manuel Correia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Leite skillfully saved the ball. Luís Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Paredes in the 35th minute. Cabecinho FC's Luís Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Cabecinho FC from getting a goal against them. Xavier Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Luís Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Samel. If Xavier Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Coimbra in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xavier Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. Albertino Coimbra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Júlio Tavares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cabecinho FC's zone, Henrique Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Leite came out of the goal and Henrique Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute Xavier Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavier Ferreira scored 0-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Cabecinho FC's Paulo Resende got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th match minute, Cabecinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Carlos Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Xavier Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Henrique Paredes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Luís Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Cabecinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Leão. Albertino Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Júlio Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Ferreira in the 90th minute of play. Henrique Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Leite having to interfere. Xavier Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cabecinho FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cabecinho FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
