Apostica's Mariano Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Miranda in the 4th minute of play. Luís Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Luís Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Pedroso was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Gonçalo Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Carlos Dantas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piedosas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apostica the free kick. The supporters of Apostica booed when Piedosas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gonçalo Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apostica's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Piedosas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Antunes came free, but Alexandre Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joaquim Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apostica's protests and gave Joaquim Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Piedosas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Dantas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 42 minutes, Cristiano Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apostica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alexandre Moreira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Cristiano Antuness short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Alexandre Moreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 81 minutes into the match, Piedosas's Paulo Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Pedroso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Jesus hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Gonçalo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Apostica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
