Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luís Miranda took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Anjos during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Piedosas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Anjos to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Catarino Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adolfo Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alexandre Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Catarino Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Abreu got free with Nuno Delgado in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Abreu in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes of play, SC Cortica's Adolfo Costa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Carlos Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piedosas's protests and gave Carlos Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. When SC Cortica's Adolfo Costa in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piedosas's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Adolfo Costa put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Alexandre Moreira. Alexandre Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half SC Cortica were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Nuno Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Miranda in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Catarino Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cortica's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th match minute, Piedosas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Silva to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Ferreira in the 69th minute of play. Amadeu Jesus hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Alexandre Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Costa in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Alves during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Piedosas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fernando Alves hit a great ball. Adolfo Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Alexandre Moreira made a huge save. SC Cortica's Nuno Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Miranda in the 74th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Luís Miranda put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Nuno Delgado. After 81 minutes of play SC Cortica's Mariano Ferreira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Piedosas booed when SC Cortica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Miranda in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Delgado saved SC Cortica from getting behind. Paulo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Delgado having to interfere. In the 96th minute Luís Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Cortica's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
