An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Leal in the 7th minute of play forced SC Lubases's goalkeeper Ricardo Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Luz's late challenge caught a SC Lubases's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Luz helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes SC Nogueiredo got a freekick which was hit by José Luz. If Jaime Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Lubases! In the 23rd minute of the game, SC Nogueiredo got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. SC Lubases's Jaime Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Castro having to interfere. José Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Jaime Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gonçalo Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Nogueiredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Fontes couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Nogueiredo booed when SC Lubases was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rodrigo Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Viegas charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Viegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaime Viegas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Ricardo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Leal in the 47th minute of play.

The crowd rose to their feet as José Nunes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodrigo Castro. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. SC Nogueiredo's Rodrigo Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Paiva in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, SC Nogueiredo's goalkeeper Rodrigo Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Faro. SC Nogueiredo's Rodrigo Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save SC Nogueiredo from getting a goal against them. Vicente Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Delgado having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Lubases's Gustavo Pereira got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ricardo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, SC Lubases's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Leal came free, but Ricardo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Fontes in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Delgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the match, SC Nogueiredo's Vicente Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Castro having to interfere.
