Joel Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Pinho went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Álvaro Pinho made a precise shot to the right of Joel Reis. Alvem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 33rd of the match, Jorge Araújo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Filipe Ribeiro got in the way and made a wonderful save. A hard shot 37 in the game by Filipe Machado from a close distance when the talented Filipe Ribeiro managed to make a qualified save. Gesteira's players were relieved. Joel Soares's late challenge caught a Gesteira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Soares helped the player get up and apologised. Álvaro Sá hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gesteira's Filipe Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Araújo in the 83rd minute of play. Álvaro Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Alvem's Filipe Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Gesteira supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gesteira would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
