Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hélder Assunção started the match with the kick off. Eduardo Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. After having played for 3 minutes, Joaquim Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinhovelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pinhovelo's Eduardo Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Delgado in the 7th minute of play. Fernando Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Vasco Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Fuseta's zone, Joaquim Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Antunes came out of the goal and Joaquim Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Hélder Assunção took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for André Antunes to make any attempt to save it. Pinhovelo's Joaquim Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 played minutes SC Fuseta got a freekick which was hit by José Neves. SC Fuseta's André Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Assunção in the 32nd minute of play. When Hélder Assunção came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Pinhovelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Assunção couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SC Fuseta's André Antunes got control of the ball when Joaquim Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 minutes, Joaquim Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fuseta and the Pinhovelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Joaquim Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Vasco Delgado made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Joaquim Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhovelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Vasco Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Hélder Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinhovelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Antunes was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Cristiano Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Leite having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Cristiano Ribeiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eduardo Leite, passed just outside the right post. Vasco Delgado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Manuel Dias's late challenge caught a SC Fuseta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Dias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pinhovelo's Manuel Dias got a free kick in the 74th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Fuseta's Vasco Delgado in the 77th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Eduardo Leite was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pinhovelo through an amazing save. After 82 played minutes SC Fuseta got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Miranda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Dias in the 85th minute of play forced SC Fuseta's goalkeeper André Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Hélder Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinhovelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélder Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. André Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Leite having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Fuseta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pinhovelo.
