The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Vítor Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Tronco FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Paulo Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, SC Picoto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Reis to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Valente made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 14thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jorge Correia would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 22nd minute Vítor Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joel Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Tronco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Borges to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Paredes in the 32nd minute of play. Vítor Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Paredes in the 39th minute of play forced Tronco FC's goalkeeper Joel Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Albertino Paredes made the kick off in the second half. After 62 minutes, Rodrigo Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tronco FC and the SC Picoto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Vítor Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Albertino Paredes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Gaspar. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 68th minute, Albertino Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Pereira in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Correia saved SC Picoto from getting behind. In the 71st minute Albertino Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Gustavo Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Paredes in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Albertino Paredes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joel Gaspar, 0-4. Afonso Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Correia having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Afonso Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tronco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
