A very good chance. Luzim's Paulo Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Vale in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Sortelha's Luís Leite got control of the ball when António Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Leite during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Sortelha's Alberto Leite got a free kick in the 18th minute. António Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Luís Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Sortelha's Luís Leite got control of the ball when António Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael Lisboa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Leite came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Lisboa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Antunes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Matias saved Luzim from getting behind. Paulo Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Vale in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Paulo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Sortelha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luís Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rafael Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 47 minutes, Cristóvão Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sortelha and the Luzim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Luzim booed when SC Sortelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 49th minute of the match Alberto Leite completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alberto Leite a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rafael Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Luís Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Luzim booed when SC Sortelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafael Lisboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, António Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jorge Jesus charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Jesus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Sortelha booed when Luzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball.
