In the 3rd minute Daniel Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, SC Soza's Daniel Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Inácio Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Soza's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cláudio Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Daniel Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Cojo's Eusébio Tavares got control of the ball when Inácio Leiria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adolfo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Eusébio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Sousa in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, SC Soza's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Nunes came free, but Daniel Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Cláudio Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Amílcar Guarda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Soza and the SC Cojo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amílcar Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Cláudio Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cojo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inácio Leiria during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, SC Soza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Leiria to maneuver through the defense. SC Soza's Daniel Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Nunes in the 36th minute of play. Álvaro Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Daniel Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Eusébio Tavares throw himself and got hold of the ball when Daniel Sousa in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Daniel Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sousa in the 47th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Cojo's Manuel Soares got a free kick in the 47th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Inácio Alves could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Eusébio Tavares however easily saved by the left post.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Sousa made a kick off. Xavier Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Eusébio Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Sousa took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusébio Tavares. Eusébio Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cojo's zone, Inácio Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Tavares came out of the goal and Inácio Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Inácio Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Soza's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Inácio Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Tavares having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Daniel Sousa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Cojo's Eusébio Tavares. Eusébio Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Melo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cláudio Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. When Daniel Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the SC Soza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Sousa couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Cojo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Soza.
