Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 10th minute, Rodrigo Assunção reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Melo. The goal made the score 1-0. Daniel Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. João Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, SC Soza's Inácio Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Inácio Alves notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Caratao's João Brito. João Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniel Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes SC Caratao got a freekick which was hit by André Machado. In the 27th minute, André Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vítor Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The supporters of SC Caratao booed when SC Soza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílcar Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Correia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Xavier Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Soza's protests and gave Xavier Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes SC Soza got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Abreu. A collision led to SC Caratao getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Diogo Freitas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Gomes in the 45th minute of play forced SC Caratao's goalkeeper João Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Leiria in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Sousa was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of SC Caratao booed when SC Soza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SC Caratao's João Brito got control of the ball when Inácio Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rodrigo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Inácio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vítor Dantas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Daniel Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Caratao. Rodrigo Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Melo having to interfere. Vítor Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Melo having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Assunção had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Melo. SC Soza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Assunção was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. SC Soza's Daniel Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Assunção in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Vítor Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Caratao's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Melo having to interfere. When Bento Matos fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Soza's protests and gave Bento Matos a yellow card for diving instead. Bento Matos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Daniel Melo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Caratao's Rodrigo Assunção. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Assunção quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. 96 minutes into the match, SC Soza's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Dantas came free, but Daniel Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th match minute, SC Soza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Gomes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Caratao getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Afonso Branco hit a great ball. The SC Soza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Soza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
