In the 4th match minute, SC Fetil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Nunes struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Alexandre Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cojo. António Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Eusébio Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Silva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, SC Fetil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Melo to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Manuel Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cojo and the SC Fetil players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. SC Cojo's Eusébio Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Silva in the 22nd minute of play. Eusébio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Silva in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, SC Fetil's goalkeeper Alexandre Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Figueiredo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Melo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Fernandes having to interfere. Eusébio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Araújo in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Cojo's goalkeeper Eusébio Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hélder Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eusébio Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Fetil's Alexandre Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Nunes in the 43rd minute of play. Pedro Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Silva was the one to do the kick off. Alexandre Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Fetil's goalkeeper Alexandre Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hélder Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Eusébio Tavares made a huge save. José Torres hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Álvaro Nunes's late challenge caught a SC Fetil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes SC Cojo got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Nunes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Nunes in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Fetil's goalkeeper Alexandre Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes SC Fetil got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Melo. In the 86th minute Cláudio Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Silva came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the SC Fetil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Silva couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Veiga during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Fetil walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
