With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusébio Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After recieving a nice pass, SC Caratao's Luís Correia tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. SC Caratao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
