With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artur Tavares struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Bruno Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Oura. After having played for 16 minutes, Sebastião Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Oura's Vítor Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Carvalho in the 18th minute of play. If Artur Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barros having to interfere. Vítor Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Carvalho in the 24th minute of the match. Sebastião Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vítor Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, SC Vimioso's goalkeeper Bruno Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Tavares. SC Oura's João Jesus was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Matias was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Paulo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, SC Vimioso's goalkeeper Bruno Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Tavares. In the 47th minute, João Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Artur Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Oura's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barros having to interfere. Bruno Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Tavares in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Oura's zone, Sebastião Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Matias came out of the goal and Sebastião Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of SC Vimioso booed when SC Oura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Oura getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vasco Morais hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Oura's zone, Sebastião Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Matias came out of the goal and Sebastião Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Amaral in the 69th minute of the match. SC Oura's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paulo Amaral 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 83rd minute Paulo Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Vimioso's Sebastião Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Amaral in the 90th minute of play.
