Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Araújo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Oliveira Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Carlos Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliveira Araújo's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The Almeijoafra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macainhas FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo Soares was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ricardo Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonçalo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Gonçalo Soares took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tiago Baptista to make any attempt to save it. If Gonçalo Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Almeijoafra's Jorge Veiga got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Alexandre Leite fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almeijoafra's protests and gave Alexandre Leite a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Tiago Baptista, was totally fooled by Macainhas FC's Alexandre Bessa, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Macainhas FC booed when Almeijoafra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Queirós came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Almeijoafra's Daniel Pacheco. But to his dismay, Daniel Pacheco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Carlos Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Veiga in the 99th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Almeijoafra's zone, Ricardo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Baptista came out of the goal and Ricardo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Macainhas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
