Simão Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Martinganca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Assunção to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes, Almeijoafra's Daniel Pacheco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almeijoafra reached it. In the 18th minute Jorge Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Martinganca's goalkeeper David Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Martinganca's Joaquim Amaro got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Tiago Baptista managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Martinganca's Gaspar Cardoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 26th minute, Raul Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute Oliveira Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Almeijoafra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Borba to maneuver through the defense. If Oliveira Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 48 minutes, Jorge Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almeijoafra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
55 minutes into the match, Joaquim Amaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Baptista. Almeijoafra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Amaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 60th minute Oliveira Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Cardoso hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If António Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Martinganca's goal looked a bit too open when Oliveira Araújo came free, but David Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-1 became the score in the 68th minute when Jorge Veiga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Amaro in the 74th minute of play forced Almeijoafra's goalkeeper Tiago Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Simão Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Gaspar Cardoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Baptista. Almeijoafra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Joaquim Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tiago Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Almeijoafra defense, Gaspar Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Baptista. The Almeijoafra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Baptista should have stopped the shot. Martinganca's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
