Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Júlio Barbosa got the match started through his kick off. Verdisao FC's Alexandre Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Guarda in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match Nuno Brás sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Alves skillfully saved the ball. Alexandre Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Guarda in the 14th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Verdisao FC's Rui Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 22 in the game by Américo Paredes from a close distance when the talented Alexandre Miranda managed to make a qualified save. Verdisao FC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Verdisao FC's João Domingues got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Américo Paredes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Américo Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Miranda having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Verdisao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Américo Paredes made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Miranda. Verdisao FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Verdisao FC's Manuel Carvalho got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of SC Calheiros booed when Verdisao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Américo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Verdisao FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Oliveira. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Guarda to make the kick off. Júlio Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Mariano Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, SC Calheiros's David Alves got control of the ball when Rui Gueifão tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Verdisao FC booed when SC Calheiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Verdisao FC's Nuno Brás tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mariano Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Verdisao FC's Manuel Carvalho suffered a concussion in the 80th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Mariano Freitas's late challenge caught a Verdisao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. António Resende was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Verdisao FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Rui Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Calheiros had won after a very even match.
