Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Joaquim Pereira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Inácio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melecas's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diogo Viegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Melecas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Torres came free, but Américo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inácio Marques was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Melecas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 12th minute, Fábio Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Viegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Pereira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Joaquim Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Américo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. Joaquim Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Sebastião Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farrapa's protests and gave Sebastião Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Farrapa got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Oliveira. Diogo Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Sebastião Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Marques took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Viegas. Diogo Viegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Diogo Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes Farrapa got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Oliveira. Diogo Viegas made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Inácio Marques sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Fernando Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melecas and the Farrapa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernando Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melecas's Fernando Gonçalves got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Fernando Gonçalves off the ground. Inácio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Viegas having to interfere.
