With a little luck, SC Zebral's Armindo Coelho got control of the ball when Duarte Assis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fernando Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Faro in the 33rd minute of play forced Vilharigues's goalkeeper Mário Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Zebral's Armindo Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save SC Zebral from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Zebral had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
