Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Augusto Pinto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Canal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Pinto's late challenge caught a SC Terlamonte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Pinto helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Canal got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Pinto. Canal's Lúcio Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Barros in the 13th minute of play. Lúcio Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Canal's Augusto Pinto in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Terlamonte's goalie prevented a goal. Mariano Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Ferreira in the 23rd minute of play. The Canal fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Canal's Emílio Aleixo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Augusto Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Gaspar Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Dantas during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Afonso Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Barros in the 41st minute of play forced Canal's goalkeeper Lúcio Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Canal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo Melo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Barros to make the kick off. Francisco Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Paulo Melo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio Pereira. Lúcio Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. SC Terlamonte's Mariano Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Pinto in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes SC Terlamonte got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Melo. Canal's Augusto Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Terlamonte's Mariano Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Pinto in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to SC Terlamonte getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Amílcar Torres hit a great ball. Mariano Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Ferreira in the 83rd minute. Gaspar Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, SC Terlamonte's goalkeeper Mariano Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Pinto. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
