Francisco Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Daniel Mendes sent off a good shot on target. SC Carvoeira's David Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Frandina FC. Frandina FC's Rafael Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Nascimento in the 32nd minute of play. SC Carvoeira's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Almeida in the 33rd minute. David Almeida made a great header on SC Carvoeira's corner, it was just that Frandina FC's Rafael Leite managed to reach the ball for a save. After 34 played minutes Frandina FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Mendes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Nascimento in the 39th minute of play forced Frandina FC's goalkeeper Rafael Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandro Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. When Sandro Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the SC Carvoeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, André Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frandina FC's Rafael Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Nascimento in the 70th minute of play. Joaquim Morais charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Morais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Joaquim Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Fonseca in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to SC Carvoeira getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Viriato Mota hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the game, Frandina FC's Augusto Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 86 minutes, Daniel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frandina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Francisco Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Carvoeira booed when Frandina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Rafael Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Frandina FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
