If Amílcar Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, SC Varzielas's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Pereira came free, but Adolfo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Amílcar Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bento Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bento Gueifão, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 23 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adolfo Ramos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 26th minute Eusébio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Amílcar Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Dume's goalkeeper Eusébio Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Viana. Bento Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Bento Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dume's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Varzielas's Adolfo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Pereira in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Faro made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Gonçalves during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Dume got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Gonçalves. Eusébio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Faro's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Eusébio Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Viana in the 57th minute of the match. Amílcar Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Varzielas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Bento Gueifão scored to the left of an out of position Adolfo Ramos, making the score, 0-1. Heitor Dias hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Amílcar Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dume's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Amílcar Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Adolfo Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Pereira in the 88th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Dume's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Paiva came free, but Eusébio Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dume's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
