Carlos Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Cabral in the 7th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, SC Charco's goalkeeper Marco Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Reis. After 14th play minutes Joel Gueifão shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Marco Queirós and just under the crossbar into goal. 17 minutes into the match, Gostei's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Cabral came free, but Carlos Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes, Adolfo Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gostei and the SC Charco players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gostei getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Adolfo Pires hit a great ball. SC Charco's José Macedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gostei. Paulo Pacheco hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, SC Charco's goalkeeper Marco Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Reis. In the 28th minute, Joel Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonçalo Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonçalo Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Marques's late challenge caught a SC Charco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Marques helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Gostei got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Marques. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gueifão made a kick off. Joaquim Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Gueifão got free with Carlos Pinho in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquim Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Pinho having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Gostei got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Pacheco. Carlos Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Macedo in the 71st minute. Carlos Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, SC Charco's Gonçalo Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gonçalo Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Pinho was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 89th minute Gonçalo Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Joaquim Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Charco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Carlos Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gostei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Charco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gostei.
