Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Joaquim Brito made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Manuel Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Telhaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveira Coelho in the 10th minute of play forced Aldriz's goalkeeper Joaquim Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Anjos during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Cabral having to interfere. Aldriz's Joaquim Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Coelho in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Telhaes's Fernando Delgado got control of the ball when Pedro Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Leites short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Fernando Delgado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joaquim Brito did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Fernando Delgado 18 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, Aldriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pinto to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Aldriz defense, Oliveira Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquim Cabral. The Aldriz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquim Cabral should have stopped the shot. Joaquim Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Joaquim Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Joaquim Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Telhaes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aldriz the free kick. After 41 played minutes SC Telhaes got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Gaspar. 2-1 became the score in the 42nd minute when Joaquim Brito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Telhaes's Fernando Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Brito in the 55th minute of play. Joaquim Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fernando Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Leite in the 59th minute of play. Joaquim Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Leite ran back to his position shaking his head. During the 79th minute of the match Diamantino Anjos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Diamantino Anjos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th match minute, Aldriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Delgado having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Telhaes's zone, Pedro Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Delgado came out of the goal and Pedro Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joaquim Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aldriz's José Pinto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Oliveira Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Cabral having to interfere.
