An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Araújo in the 6th minute of play forced SC Taipinhas's goalkeeper Tiago Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Gil Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Taipinhas's Tiago Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute, SC Jazente's Sandro Ferro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sandro Ferro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Jazente protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sandro Ferro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mário Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Artur Ramos made a huge save. If Daniel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Daniel Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Taipinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mário Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Tiago Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37th play minutes Jorge Araújo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Tiago Pinheiro and just under the crossbar into goal. Miguel Andrade hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Mário Alves in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artur Ramos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 45 minutes into the match, SC Jazente's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Teixeira came free, but Artur Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Taipinhas's zone, Jorge Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Pinheiro came out of the goal and Jorge Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Araújo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. SC Jazente's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A hard shot 55 in the game by Jorge Araújo from a close distance when the talented Tiago Pinheiro managed to make a qualified save. SC Taipinhas's players were relieved. 2-1 became the score in the 61st minute when Mário Alves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Artur Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Alves in the 65th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Jorge Araújo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. José Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Jorge Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Jazente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SC Taipinhas getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mário Alves hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Jazente's zone, Mário Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Ramos came out of the goal and Mário Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Jazente's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
