Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Santos in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Tarei getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Artur Almeida hit a great ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Eusébio Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marrancos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tarei's zone, Eusébio Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Brito came out of the goal and Eusébio Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Ramos in the 13th minute. When Gonçalo Martins fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marrancos FC's protests and gave Gonçalo Martins a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marrancos FC's Eusébio Barros got a free kick in the 20th minute. Paulo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Tavares having to interfere. A collision led to Marrancos FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gonçalo Martins hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Tarei were awarded a corner. Emílio Nogueira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Emílio Nogueira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marrancos FC's Eusébio Tavares did a great save. Tarei's Afonso Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Matos in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Eusébio Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marrancos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Júlio Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Marrancos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Gaspar couldn't finish the play. If Paulo Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Bernardo Santos made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Marrancos FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Araújo. Afonso Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Marrancos FC booed when Tarei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Matos in the 58th minute of play. Bernardo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Tavares having to interfere. Paulo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Tavares having to interfere. Bernardo Santos struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Eusébio Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarei. In the 68thth minute of the game Tiago Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarei's Afonso Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afonso Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Matos in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tarei's Artur Almeida got a free kick in the 74th minute. João Oliveira was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. João Oliveira hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Eusébio Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Eusébio Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Afonso Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Matos in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Eusébio Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Tarei got a freekick which was hit by Artur Almeida. In the 94th minute Eusébio Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Júlio Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marrancos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tarei had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
