A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Caldas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Amaral came free, but Paulo Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Amaral in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Rafael Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Fanadia's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Magalhães in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Coelho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 38 minutes into the match, SC Fanadia's Ricardo Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Fanadia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Resende hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match.
