The audience thought a goal was coming when João Luz got free with Emílio Assunção in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Inculca FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Américo Aguiar hit a great ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Daniel Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picaranha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Emílio Assunção made a huge save. A collision led to Picaranha getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Manuel Castro hit a great ball. José Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Adelino Silva hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. José Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Leiria went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Inculca FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Inculca FC's José Leiria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniel Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emílio Assunção having to make a save. The wind increased when Daniel Fontes made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Inculca FC's zone, João Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Assunção came out of the goal and João Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Coelho in the 54th minute of play forced Picaranha's goalkeeper José Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 57 in the game by José Leiria from a close distance when the talented José Moura managed to make a qualified save. Picaranha's players were relieved. 72 minutes into the match, Daniel Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Assunção. Inculca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a little luck, Picaranha's José Moura got control of the ball when José Leiria tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Adelino Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emílio Assunção showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emílio Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
