An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Ferreira in the 14th minute of play forced SC Estela's goalkeeper Alfredo Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Manuel Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvalade FC and the SC Estela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rui Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Pedroso having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Mariano Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Neves hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Tomás Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Coimbra's late challenge caught a Alvalade FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes SC Estela got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Coimbra. Cristóvão Guarda hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Joaquim Coimbra was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. Joaquim Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Alvalade FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after SC Estela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Ferreira took the corner. The corner led Alvalade FC's Augusto Ferreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfredo Pedroso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, SC Estela's goalkeeper Alfredo Pedroso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Ferreira. Alfredo Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Rui Ferreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Pedroso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manuel Leão was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Alvalade FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alfredo Pedroso made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Rui Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st match minute, SC Estela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Reis to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alvalade FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
