Armando Cabral hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes, Armando Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sobreiro and the SC Almeidinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Armando Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Rui Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Cláudio Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes, João Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sobreiro and the SC Almeidinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. 24 minutes into the match, SC Sobreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Luz came free, but Lourenço Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lourenço Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Cabral in the 29th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Gustavo Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Almeidinha and the SC Sobreiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Alves in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Almeidinha's goalkeeper Alexandre Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Almeidinha's Manuel Fontes got a free kick in the 35th minute. Júlio Domingues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Barros having to make a save. After 39 played minutes SC Almeidinha got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Fontes. In the 40th minute, Jorge Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, SC Almeidinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Cabral to make the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Sobreiro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manuel Correia was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Almeidinha's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SC Almeidinha's corner Manuel Correia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lourenço Soares quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Rui Cabral got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 56 minutes into the match, Bernardo Luz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Sobreiro's Lourenço Soares. Lourenço Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júlio Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Barros having to interfere. Alexandre Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Alves in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to SC Sobreiro getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. João Pinheiro hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Rui Cabral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lourenço Soares, passed just outside the right post. In the 71st minute, Inácio Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Almeidinha's Alexandre Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Domingues in the 79th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Afonso Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Sobreiro and the SC Almeidinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes SC Sobreiro got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Abreu. Rui Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Soares having to interfere. SC Almeidinha's Rui Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
