After 2 played minutes Espiunca got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Resende. Pedro Resende didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Aveiro's António Ribeiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Diamantino Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Rafael Leite cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Diamantino Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes SC Aveiro got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Campos. Gil Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Rafael Leite made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Dias. SC Aveiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 31st minute, Miguel Assis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Resende was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 37th play minutes Miguel Assis shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Pedro Resende and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Ferreira in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Dias saved SC Aveiro from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Diamantino Dias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute, Miguel Assis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, SC Aveiro's Diamantino Dias got control of the ball when Gil Ferreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Assis scored 4-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Resende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Miguel Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Espiunca's goal looked a bit too open when António Ribeiro came free, but Pedro Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
