The crowd rose to their feet as Henrique Setúbal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Vaz. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Gondiao FC's Henrique Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jorge Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gondiao FC's protests and gave Jorge Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gondiao FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Magalhães to strike the kick off in the second half. André Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 58 played minutes SC Cisterna got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Amaro. Pedro Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Rodrigues in the 59th minute of play. André Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Pedro Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gondiao FC. In the 64th minute Mário Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Rodrigues in the 65th minute of the match. When Emílio Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cisterna's protests and gave Emílio Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, SC Cisterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. SC Cisterna's Pedro Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Rodrigues in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Cisterna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gondiao FC.
