Emanuel Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Júlio Borba made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Safarujo FC's goalkeeper Júlio Borba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Dias. If André Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Júlio Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Júlio Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Resende in the 27th minute of the match. If Hélder Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Resende in the 40th minute of play. Hélder Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Coimbra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Bernardo Amorim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. André Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélder Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Coimbra having to interfere. Queiriz's Américo Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Rocha in the 65th minute of play. When Cristiano Soares fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Safarujo FC's protests and gave Cristiano Soares a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Safarujo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Soares. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, André Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Safarujo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Coimbra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jaime Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Dias in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Safarujo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Resende came free, but Júlio Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Américo Coimbra came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Safarujo FC's André Rocha. But to his dismay, André Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match was over Safarujo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Queiriz throughout the match.
