After having played for 3 minutes, Lourenço Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alcarias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Figueiredo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Humberto Setúbal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Paulo Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alcarias's protests and gave Paulo Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 minutes, Amílcar Aleixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alcarias and the Aldeias players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Aldeias got a freekick which was hit by Armando Campos. 20 minutes into the match, Rui Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Humberto Setúbal, 3-0. If Lourenço Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Nuno Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lourenço Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Carneiro having to make a save. Lourenço Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Carneiro having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lourenço Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Carneiro was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Rui Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Setúbal having to interfere. Daniel Figueiredo scored 4-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Humberto Setúbal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oliveira Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Silva was the one to do the kick off. Oliveira Azevedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nuno Carneiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Setúbal having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Alcarias's Jaime Veiga got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Humberto Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Figueiredo in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Daniel Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes SC Alcarias got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Aleixo. Aldeias's Rui Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Humberto Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Daniel Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Alcarias's Gil Amorim got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Aldeias walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
