Tortomil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Alcarias the free kick. The supporters of SC Alcarias booed when Tortomil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Resende in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tortomil's Gustavo Coimbra got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute of the match, Lourenço Leite tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Lima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. SC Alcarias's Humberto Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Abreu in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Tortomil's goalkeeper Miguel Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliveira Azevedo. In the 28th minute, Oliveira Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tortomil's goalkeeper Miguel Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Tortomil got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Costa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Resende in the 37th minute of play forced SC Alcarias's goalkeeper Humberto Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Filipe Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Filipe Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Oliveira Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 55th minute of the match Gustavo Coimbra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gustavo Coimbra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of SC Alcarias booed when Tortomil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Alcarias's Humberto Setúbal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save SC Alcarias from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the game, Abel Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Alcarias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tortomil the free kick. Humberto Setúbal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Tortomil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Tortomil's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Leite came free, but Miguel Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, SC Alcarias's Oliveira Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 84 played minutes SC Alcarias got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Leal. Humberto Setúbal made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Francisco Abreu sent off a good shot on target. SC Alcarias's Oliveira Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lourenço Leite came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Alcarias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lourenço Leite couldn't finish the play.
