Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Esquio's Vasco Leiria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joel Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Amorim in the 3rd minute of the match. Perofico FC's Nuno Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Leiria in the 6th minute of play. When Carlos Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perofico FC's protests and gave Carlos Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Perofico FC booed when SC Esquio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Ricardo Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perofico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Delgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes SC Esquio got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Freitas. 29 minutes into the match, Bruno Moniz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Dias. Perofico FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Moniz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 32nd match minute, Perofico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Bruno Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Esquio's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Moniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, David Moutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Esquio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perofico FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Esquio's David Moutinho got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Esquio! The referee gave Perofico FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Castro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Esquio's Joel Dias. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Bruno Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Esquio's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Moniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If António Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored SC Esquio's protests and gave Vasco Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. 71 minutes into the match, Vasco Leiria notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Perofico FC's Nuno Dias. Nuno Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the game, Perofico FC's Adolfo Matias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Bruno Moniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vasco Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Esquio's Bruno Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Ribeiro hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Joel Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
