Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Veiga started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SC Grilo getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Albertino Carneiro hit a great ball. SC Grilo's Armindo Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Tiago Delgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Mendes went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Francisco Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SC Angra's Carlos Veiga in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Grilo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Veiga in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Grilo's goalkeeper David Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Francisco Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armindo Torres to make the kick off. The supporters of SC Angra booed when SC Grilo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. SC Angra's Tiago Delgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save SC Angra from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute Carlos Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Carlos Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Angra's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armindo Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, SC Grilo's Tiago Delgado threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Armindo Torres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 77 minutes into the game, Paulo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Grilo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Angra the free kick. After having played for 82 minutes, Carlos Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Angra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Angra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Armindo Torres scored to the left of an out of position Tiago Delgado, making the score, 0-2. In the 93rd minute, Emílio Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SC Grilo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Grilo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
