The supporters of Polima booed when SC Grilo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Duarte Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeu Faro's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Amadeu Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, SC Grilo's goalkeeper David Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte Sousa. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jorge Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polima 's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Polima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Duarte Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Grilo's David Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SC Grilo from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, SC Grilo's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Faro came free, but David Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Soares during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Grilo getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Paulo Soares hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Torres was the one to do the kick off. David Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Faro in the 53rd minute of the match. SC Grilo's David Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Faro in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Polima got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Maia. Duarte Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. David Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, SC Grilo's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Faro came free, but David Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Polima 's Amadeu Faro managed to work through SC Grilo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Amadeu Faro dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Amadeu Faro struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. David Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polima . 2-0 became the score in the 89th minute when Amadeu Faro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 93 minutes, Amadeu Faro made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Grilo's David Soares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
