Albertino Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Pinho having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, SC Casaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Leiria to maneuver through the defense. SC Casaes's Inácio Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Ramos in the 16th minute of play. Inácio Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Alves in the 20th minute of the match. Albertino Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Amadeu Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Alvaredos FC's zone, Albertino Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Pinho came out of the goal and Albertino Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Alvaredos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Sousa came free, but Amadeu Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bruno Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Alvaredos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Ramos couldn't finish the play. Amadeu Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 40 minutes of play, Alvaredos FC's Hélder Alves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Gonçalves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amadeu Pinho was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and David Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Sousa made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, SC Casaes's Cândido Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Hélder Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Alves in the 64th minute of play. Amadeu Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cândido Sousa in the 67th minute of the match. Filipe Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With his leg Inácio Gonçalves managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Alvaredos FC's Bruno Ramos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Sousa in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Pinho saved Alvaredos FC from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, SC Casaes's goalkeeper Inácio Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Ramos. Albertino Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
